Problem:
Houseboats in general all look the same. We needed to design a modern, sleek and beautiful vessel that will look entirely different from what is currently available in the US marketplace.
- Minimalistic, modern and affordable- Most of what sells in the United States is over 50 feet long with costs over 250k to purchase. We believe we can make smart material and manufacturing choices to address the market demand for smaller houseboats that can be sold at a more affordable price.
- Transportation and logistics- moving, launching and captaining a houseboat over 50 feet scares most first-time buyers. We were challenged to provide an entry level product that is affordable, superior and easy to maintain.
Solution:
Our Goal then became to create an intersection between the growing RV market and Houseboat market by creating a more “mobile” version of a houseboat that can also serve as a camper when hauling and/or traveling by truck. We needed a modern, sleek and beautiful vessel that will look entirely different from what is currently available in the US marketplace.
Innovation:
Our team collaborated using sophisticated design and CAD software that allowed us to model every inch of this houseboat. We engineered a superstructure similar to an airplane fuselage. The advantage of using high grade aluminum and thermoformed polymers is that allows for superior stability and strength while affording a spacious and elegant feel to the interior of the vessel.
