2 Ton Boat Lift

Problem :

Our challenge was to come up with an innovative approach to keeping a 2 ton boat out of the water. Typical boat lifts utilize a system of motors, pulleys and cables to raise and lower boats in and out of the water.  These systems require a source of power to be run to the doc or marina as well as multiple fixed piles to be set into the water floor.

Solution :

We designed a boat ramp that will float while in water.  When the boat needs to be raised up we use a series of air tanks to change its buoyancy.
