Problem :
Electric Motors for marine thrust applications generally require a high torque value and operation in a confined space. The relationship between the size of a motor and the power that motor can deliver refers to its power density. Furthermore, some of these motors must operate underwater and in harsh conditions. Our team was challenged with designing a small brushless dc motor that could deliver sufficient power at optimal conditions.
